Hardware Accessories
Hardware accessories are primarily intended for use with the “Live” package. For “Playback” subscription, most of these accessories are not necessary, except possibly the use of headphones or earphones to aid hearing. Upon signing up for a subject (or subjects), the student will be required to attend a Cram School Setup/Training Session, where he/she will be instructed on the setup and use for some of these devices and the relevant software functions in Cram School.
Webcam : These are not necessary unless the student wishes the tutor to be able to hold a video conference with them. Cram School currently operates on 1-way video broadcast; however in future, we plan to allow 1 or 2 students at a time to have video conference with the tutor during class.
Writing tablet : These are recommended for students taking the “Live” package, especially for subjects like Mathematics where homework assignments require hand-written answers. On Cram School, all homework are assigned online, and the students download the homework electronically in the form of pdf files. After that, they may do their homework using a free software that we will provide to them, and making use of either the writing tablet, mouse or keyboard to write the answers on the homework document. After that, the homework is uploaded to Cram School electronically.
Head-set : This is a must-have for “Live” students, and also recommended for “Playback” students. While in a “Live” class session, students who use their microphones must plug in their earphones (hence disabling their speakers) to avoid creating echoes for everyone present.
